The historic 4R Stadium in Ba is poised to become the official home ground for Bula FC, heralding a new era as Fiji’s first professional football club gears up for its debut in the inaugural OFC Professional League. Local supporters are eagerly anticipating the stadium’s vibrant atmosphere during round 5, scheduled between April 11 and 18, when Fiji will host key matches in the competition.

For Bula FC, establishing a robust home base is essential if they aim to replicate the remarkable achievements of the rugby franchise Fijian Drua, which has transformed Lautoka’s Churchill Park into a stronghold, boasting an impressive record of 10 wins out of 12 matches. The team understands that a dedicated fanbase will be pivotal in turning the 4R Stadium into their fortress.

Roy Krishna, the club’s marquee signing and renowned figure in Fiji’s football landscape, has called upon supporters to unite and rally around the team. “This is the first professional football club in the country, so we are asking our supporters to come out and back the boys and be the 12th man on the field,” he stated, highlighting the critical role that fan enthusiasm will play in their inaugural season.

Krishna emphasizes the profound impact that encouragement from the stands can have, urging not only local fans but also supporters globally to engage with the club, as they prepare for matches in locations including Auckland and Australia.

Bula FC’s home matches will begin during round 5, starting with their first game against Papua New Guinea’s Hekari FC on Sunday, April 12. They will continue with fixtures against South Melbourne FC on Wednesday, April 15, and Auckland FC on Saturday, April 18. As Bula FC embarks on this exciting new chapter in Fijian football, the buzz surrounding the upcoming matches fuels a collective hope for a passionate turnout, aiming to inspire the team towards success.
