BULA FC has bolstered its roster with the addition of two new players as it gears up for the inaugural OFC Professional League next month. The latest signings include Adam Supyk from New Zealand and national defender Filipe Baravilala, increasing the club’s squad to a total of 21 players.
At just 21 years old, Supyk brings with him significant experience from his time in various New Zealand football leagues and has had a noteworthy tenure in youth and international competitions. His journey through the ranks has seen him play for local clubs such as Waimak United, Nomads United, Lower Hutt City, as well as the Wellington Phoenix Reserves and Wellington Olympic. Supyk has also represented New Zealand at the under-19, under-20, and under-23 levels, accumulating 22 appearances in junior international football.
Expressing his excitement about joining Bula FC, Supyk stated, “I’m really excited to be here and grateful for the opportunity to join Bula FC. The lads have been working hard thus far, and I’m looking forward to meeting the supporters and doing what I can to help the team achieve its goals.”
Defender Filipe Baravilala has also expressed his gratitude for being the club’s 20th signing. Baravilala, who was part of the national U23 team that remarkably qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics, reflected on his achievements and the support he has received over the years. “I thank God Almighty for the talent, strength, and opportunities. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved over the years, and I hope to do more with Bula FC,” he said. Baravilala took a moment to acknowledge his family, particularly his partner, for their unwavering support throughout his football journey.
The addition of Supyk and Baravilala not only strengthens Bula FC’s squad but also highlights the club’s commitment to building a competitive team as it prepares for the upcoming league season. With these signings, the club is looking to make a significant impact in Fiji’s first professional football landscape, fostering a hopeful atmosphere among players and fans alike.
