Extra Bula FC’s head coach, Stéphane Auvray, has called on fans to exhibit patience as the team navigates its developmental phase in the OFC Pro League. Despite facing some inconsistent results during the Melbourne segment of the tournament, Auvray has observed promising signs within the squad, underscoring the effort and intensity the players have been putting into their games.

Auvray recognized the fans’ critical role in this journey, highlighting that many supporters are aware of the team’s current building phase. He praised their understanding, saying, “I believe most of the fans understand that we’re in a building phase. When people watch the game live, they see the intensity and the amount of work the players produce.”

The French coach emphasized the importance of staying focused on the development process, allowing the players the time they need to adapt and grow. He exuded optimism for the team’s future, confidently stating, “We’re just going to keep going this way, and at some point, things will pay off with even more success. Just give us time to work properly, and when the time comes, we will reap the fruits.”

Auvray took the opportunity to express his gratitude for the steadfast support from fans in Melbourne and across Fiji. He acknowledged the significance of this backing, particularly as the team represents the first professional football club from Fiji. “It’s important for our players and it’s important for the country because it’s the first time we have a professional team. We’re thankful for the support, and hopefully, fans are looking forward to when we return home to play.”

Coming up, Bula FC is set to take on Tahiti United on the 15th of this month, offering a platform for the team to demonstrate their growth and commitment. With fans rallying behind them, there is an optimistic outlook that the dedication and hard work being invested will soon yield positive results.
