Bruno Mars is set to perform at the Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs this September, marking the first major concert at the venue since Kelly Clarkson took the stage in 2018. The acclaimed pop artist has included Colorado Springs as part of his upcoming “Romantic Tour,” which also features stops in iconic cities like Paris, London, and Chicago.

Fans in Colorado Springs are thrilled at the chance to see such a prominent artist live without the need to drive to Denver, which is typically required for big-name performances. Local resident Cassie Lecates shared her excitement, reminiscing about her early fandom for Mars and highlighting his popular collaborations, such as those with Lady Gaga. Comparatively, many residents often travel to Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre for concerts, but the opportunity to see Mars perform so close to home is a treat for many.

Another fan, Austin Caranco from Highlands Ranch, expressed his eagerness to make the trip south on Interstate 25, noting that it has been quite some time since Mars last released an album. This concert is not just a chance to see a favorite artist; it also represents a significant cultural event for the community.

The U.S. Air Force Academy is anticipating a sold-out show, and Falcon Stadium was selected due to its substantial capacity, accommodating more than double the crowd that Weidner Field can hold, and nearly five times that of Ford Amphitheatre. According to a report from the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, large-scale events like this contribute nearly $300 million annually to the local economy.

Bruno Mars will headline the concert on September 26, with presale tickets going on sale starting January 14. This event is expected not only to be a memorable night for concert-goers but also to invigorate the local economy and cultural scene.
