Bruno Mars is making a significant return to the music scene after a ten-year hiatus between solo studio albums with the announcement of his fourth LP, The Romantic, set to release on February 27. This nine-song collection marks his first solo project since the critically acclaimed 24K Magic, launched in 2016.

Mars generated excitement when he unveiled the complete tracklist on February 16, revealing that the album will be led by the single “I Just Might.” Impressively, this track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking both his first career No. 1 debut and his tenth overall chart-topping hit.

The timing of this release is promising for Mars, as he has enjoyed considerable chart success recently. His collaboration with Lady Gaga, “Die With a Smile,” dominated the Billboard Global 200 for an impressive 18 weeks and was awarded a Grammy. Additionally, his track “APT.” featuring ROSÉ achieved remarkable milestones, including a 19-week reign at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and 12 weeks on the Global 200. It was recognized as IFPI’s biggest-selling global single of 2025 and earned the title of Apple Music’s most-streamed song globally that year.

In early 2025, Mars made history by becoming the first artist to exceed 150 million monthly listeners on Spotify. His impressive accomplishments also include being the first artist to achieve six RIAA Diamond-certified singles back in 2022. He now boasts at least seven Diamond certifications, with notable hits such as “Just the Way You Are,” which holds the distinction of being the highest-certified song in RIAA history at 21-times Platinum. Other Diamond-certified songs in his repertoire include “Uptown Funk” (in collaboration with Mark Ronson), “Grenade,” “That’s What I Like,” “Locked Out of Heaven,” “When I Was Your Man,” and “The Lazy Song.”

With 35 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 and a total of 10 No. 1 hits, Mars has solidified his place in music history. His debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, remains a standout, having spent over 345 weeks on the Billboard 200—making it the longest-running studio album by a solo male artist on the chart.

Fans can now pre-save The Romantic and also pre-order the exclusive vinyl edition, as anticipation continues to build for this highly awaited return of Bruno Mars to the solo music arena.
