Bruins Unveil Stunning Jerseys for Centennial Game!

The Boston Bruins are set to commemorate their centennial game in an exciting way, introducing special uniforms on Thursday. These exclusive jerseys will be showcased during their match against the Montreal Canadiens on December 1, marking the 100th anniversary of the Bruins’ inaugural game against the Montreal Maroons, which took place on December 1, 1924.

The new look incorporates various historical elements while looking forward to the future. Notably, the anniversary crest merges vintage spokes worn by iconic players Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque with the varsity “B” design used by the franchise since 2007.

The jersey also pays homage to the 1980s, a time when the Bruins achieved four seasons with over 100 wins, reflecting the core values of the franchise as noted in a news release. It features gold sleeves and socks with a contemporary take on traditional striping, honoring past players who wore the Spoked-B logo.

Additionally, a new centennial patch highlights December 1 and reintroduces metallic gold accents surrounding the Bruins bear logo.

Boston Bruins president Cam Neely stated, “The Centennial Game will be a special moment for our organization and, more importantly, our fans, so the jersey design had to be fit for the occasion. There are so many elements for both fans and the players to enjoy.”

Prominently, the team’s core values—tradition, grit, passion, and heart—are inscribed on the bottom hemline, complemented by the score of their first game displayed on the collar.
