The Boston Bruins have introduced their commemorative uniforms for the highly anticipated “Centennial Game” against the Montreal Canadiens, scheduled for December 1. This game commemorates 100 years since the Bruins made their debut on the ice against the Montreal Maroons in 1924.
The new uniforms showcase a color-inverted version of the Centennial patch, which was previously featured on three Centennial uniforms worn throughout the 2023-24 season. This updated patch highlights December 1 as a significant date and incorporates a metallic gold accent around the Bruins bear logo.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic designs of the 1980s—an important period in the team’s legacy—the jerseys sport dipped gold sleeves and socks along with a modern interpretation of classic striping, honoring past Bruins players.
The anniversary patch that appeared in last season’s Centennial uniforms returns with a fresh inversion of colors, now featuring black lettering on a gold background, reminiscent of the spoked-B worn by Bruins legends like Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque.
Additional elements of the uniform include a unique design on the collar, which features the score from the Bruins’ first-ever game, with Boston winning 2-1 against the Montreal Maroons at the Boston Arena. The bottom hem of the jerseys highlights the team’s core values: tradition, grit, passion, and heart.
In a nod to its inaugural season, the ProShop and TD Garden will have a limited quantity of 1,924 Authentic Pro Centennial Game jerseys available for fans.
The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. at TD Garden. Alongside the uniforms, the Bruins have also unveiled a new logo to celebrate this historic event.
