The Boston Bruins have introduced their special uniforms for the upcoming “Centennial Game” against the Montreal Canadiens, scheduled for December 1. This match coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Bruins’ first game against the Montreal Maroons on the same date in 1924.

The team’s statement highlights that the new uniforms symbolize a century of history, featuring a color-inverted version of the Centennial patch previously worn during the 2023-24 season. This patch commemorates December 1 as the date of the Bruins’ inaugural match and incorporates a celebratory metallic gold accent around the Bruins bear logo.

The jersey design takes inspiration from the 1980s, a significant period in the Bruins’ legacy, showcasing dipped gold sleeves and socks, along with a modern take on traditional striping, honoring the team’s former players.

This season’s anniversary patch has been updated to display black lettering against a gold background, resembling the spoked-B worn by iconic players like Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque.

The jerseys also feature distinctive elements, including a special design on the collar, which displays the score from the Bruins’ first-ever game—Boston Bruins 2, Montreal Maroons 1—played at Boston Arena in 1924. The bottom hem of the jerseys includes the team’s core values: tradition, grit, passion, and heart.

In celebration of this momentous occasion, the ProShop and TD Garden will offer a limited quantity of 1,924 Authentic Pro Centennial Game jerseys for fans to purchase.

The faceoff for this historic matchup at TD Garden is set for 3 p.m. on December 1, coinciding with the release of a new logo to celebrate the “Centennial Game.”
