Bruins Unveil Special Jerseys for Historic Centennial Game

The Boston Bruins have introduced special commemorative uniforms for their upcoming “Centennial Game” against the Montreal Canadiens on December 1, marking 100 years since the franchise’s first game against the Montreal Maroons in 1924.

The new uniforms were unveiled Thursday, showcasing a color-inverted version of the Centennial patch featured on three uniforms worn during the season. This patch highlights the significance of December 1, incorporating celebratory metallic gold accents around the Bruins bear logo.

The jersey design pays homage to the 1980s, a crucial period in the team’s history, with dipped gold sleeves and socks that provide a modern twist on traditional striping to honor Bruins alumni who proudly wore the Spoked-B.

The anniversary patch from last season’s Centennial uniforms returns with an inverted design, displaying black lettering on a gold background, echoing the look of the spoked-B once worn by Bruins legends like Bobby Orr and Ray Bourque.

Additional design elements include a unique collar featuring the score of the Bruins’ inaugural game—Boston Bruins 2, Montreal Maroons 1—played at the Boston Arena, along with the embedding of the team’s core values: tradition, grit, passion, and heart, into the bottom hem of the jersey.

To commemorate this historic milestone, 1,924 Authentic Pro Centennial Game jerseys will be available for purchase at the ProShop and TD Garden.

The much-anticipated match at TD Garden is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on December 1, coinciding with the unveiling of a new logo for the occasion.
