Following the dismissal of head coach Kevin Stefanski, the Cleveland Browns are actively seeking a new lead for their football operations. The franchise has expressed interest in interviewing Todd Monken, the current offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, who previously held the same position with the Browns in 2019 under former coach Freddie Kitchens.

Monken, who is 59 years old, has spent the last three seasons with the Ravens, where he has helped guide the team’s offense to impressive rankings: finishing No. 6, No. 1, and No. 16 in total yards, along with No. 4, No. 3, and No. 11 in points scored. His track record demonstrates a strong ability to cultivate effective offensive strategies.

Before joining the Ravens, Monken had a varied career, including a stint as the head coach at Southern Miss from 2013 to 2015, where he led the team to a bowl appearance in his final season and earned the title of Conference USA Coach of the Year. Following his collegiate coaching experience, he transitioned to the NFL as the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, further expanding his credentials.

This move could signal a fresh direction for the Browns as they look to revitalize their offensive approach and foster a more competitive team in the upcoming season. Monken’s previous familiarity with the Browns organization, paired with his successful offensive background, may provide a promising path forward for Cleveland.
