A celebratory occasion in Brooklyn took a tragic turn when gunfire erupted outside a Sweet Sixteen party, leaving six teenagers injured. The two suspects responsible for the shooting remain at large as the investigation unfolds.

According to the NYPD, two unidentified men armed with firearms opened fire on a crowd gathered outside the event venue. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch reported the details during a press briefing, stating that the individuals discharged multiple rounds around 1:00 AM on Sunday at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Ashford Street.

Surveillance footage captured the chaotic scene, showing party attendees fleeing the area in panic. Local resident Jesus Garcia recounted the frightening experience, saying he heard approximately 20 shots and quickly ducked to the ground with his daughter.

The ages of the victims range from 15 to 17 years, and while authorities have yet to determine a specific motive, they suspect that the shooting may be gang-related. The NYPD is continuing to investigate the incident and is appealing to the public for any information that could aid in the case.
