The Denver Broncos initiated multiple roster changes as they prepare for their upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Notably, linebacker Jordan Turner has been promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. This move comes after the Broncos waived tight end Marcedes Lewis, creating space for Turner, who had already utilized his three practice squad elevations. Turner is now set to take his place as the fourth linebacker behind Dre Greenlaw, Alex Singleton, and Justin Strnad. Following his release, Lewis cleared waivers on Friday and has been re-signed to the practice squad as of Saturday.
In addition to these changes, the Broncos have elevated third-string quarterback Sam Ehlinger and wide receiver Michael Bandy from the practice squad to join the game-day roster for Week 15. With starting wide receiver Pat Bryant sidelined due to a hamstring injury, Bandy’s promotion enhances the team’s depth at the position. Both Bandy and Ehlinger are expected to revert to the practice squad after the game.
Guard Ben Powers remains on injured reserve due to a bicep injury and has yet to be activated, meaning Alex Palczewski is set to start at left guard for at least one more week. Powers has until December 31 to be brought back to the active roster.
The roster alterations include:
– Promoting LB Jordan Turner to the active roster
– Signing TE Marcedes Lewis to the practice squad
– Elevating WR Michael Bandy to the game-day roster
– Elevating QB Sam Ehlinger to the game-day roster
Fans should note that Sunday’s matchup against the Packers will be regionally televised on CBS. Historically, the Packers have struggled in Denver, holding a 1-7 record on the road, although they are considered favorites for this Week 15 game.
Engagements from Broncos fans can be followed on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter/X, adding to the excitement of the upcoming game.
