ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant missed his second consecutive day of practice as the team prepares for their upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers. Bryant had previously played in the match against the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday, despite being listed on the injury report earlier in the week due to a hamstring injury. He was limited in practice leading up to that game, participating only in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday.
In the Las Vegas game, Bryant managed to contribute significantly, finishing with four receptions for 32 yards, making him the second most productive wide receiver on the team for that game. Since November began, he has shown consistent performance, ranking second in receiving yards on the team, just behind Courtland Sutton. However, during practice, Bryant was notably absent as he was the only player on the 53-man roster missing from the field.
On a more positive note, defensive lineman D.J. Jones and tight end Nate Adkins both participated again, practicing for the second day in a row. Jones, who had previously missed time following an ankle injury sustained on November 30 against Washington, returned to practice with a full workload. Meanwhile, Adkins, who has been recovering from a knee injury he incurred during the fourth quarter of the Oct. 26 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, saw limited participation in his first practice since the injury.
Additionally, left guard Ben Powers has been making strides in his recovery. He returned to individual drills with his offensive linemen after being designated for return from the injured reserve list earlier this week. Powers has been sidelined since Week 5 due to a torn biceps muscle. In his absence, Matt Peart started in one game before himself being placed on injured reserve with a torn MCL, while Alex Palczewski has filled the starting role at left guard for the past seven games. The Broncos have until December 31 to decide whether to activate Powers to the active roster.
As the team continues its preparations, the potential return of key players may prove crucial for the Broncos as they seek to build on their recent performance.
