Brittany Force Sets the Stage for a High-Octane Weekend at Route 66 NHRA Nationals!

This weekend, drag racing enthusiasts are gearing up for the highly anticipated Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Joliet, with a special appearance from Brittany Force, recognized as the “fastest female on earth.” Prior to the event, Force and her team made a special stop in downtown Chicago, where she expressed her eagerness for a strong performance following her record-setting run in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she surpassed the top fuel speed record by reaching over 340 mph.

Reflecting on her previous experience in Chicago, which was marred by her first failure to qualify in 187 races, Force is determined to turn things around this year. “We have this extra motivation, incentive to win, just because our performance was not there last season,” she stated.

Brittany’s father, John Force, a legendary figure in drag racing who has recently faced challenges after a serious crash last June, is also in attendance to support her. Despite suffering a traumatic brain injury in the crash, the 76-year-old Force remains optimistic about his recovery. He shared, “I was in the hospital for four or five months, and then now, I’m in rehab.” John is thrilled to be back at the races, cheerleading for his daughter and her teammates while also expressing his love for racing. “There’s nothing like driving — NHRA drag racing,” he remarked.

The Route 66 Nationals promise a thrilling weekend for fans, as it will take place from Friday through Sunday at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet. With Brittany’s determination and John’s resilient spirit, both racers and spectators alike can anticipate an electrifying event filled with heart and adrenaline.
