Bristol Bears have officially announced the extension of Fijian international back row Viliame Mata’s contract for the forthcoming season. Since his transfer from Edinburgh in 2024, Mata has made a significant impact on the squad, participating in 28 matches and demonstrating his exceptional strength and physicality on the rugby field.
At 6 feet 4 inches tall, Mata has earned 38 international caps for Fiji, scoring 11 tries during his two seasons with the Bears under the guidance of Pat Lam.
