Brianna LaPaglia, known as Brianna Chickenfry, has reached out to her followers to ask for space as she copes with her recent breakup from country musician Zach Bryan.
In a nearly four-minute YouTube video posted on October 22, LaPaglia is seen emotional on her bathroom floor, revealing that she learned of the breakup through an Instagram post by Bryan. “I just woke up to Zach posting on his Instagram that we broke up,” she explained. “I had no idea that post was going up. He didn’t text me, he didn’t call me. I just woke up to a bunch of texts being like, ‘Are you OK?’ I’m like, ‘Did my f—ing dad die?’ I’m completely blindsided by that.”
Earlier that day, Bryan confirmed their split on his Instagram Stories, acknowledging their relationship had ended after dating since last summer. “Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart,” he stated. He expressed gratitude for her unconditional love and shared that he has faced significant personal struggles over the past year, suggesting that it was time for both to part ways.
He urged fans to respect LaPaglia’s privacy, adding, “With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”
In her heartfelt message, LaPaglia articulated her feelings about the suddenness of the public breakup, questioning how one can give so much love only to feel discarded. She stated, “It’s really heartbreaking and I don’t want to talk about details right now. I just wanted to heal privately.”
She requested understanding from her fans, saying she wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming public response and wanted to manage her emotions away from the spotlight. LaPaglia expressed her gratitude for the support of her followers, reassuring them, “I’m going to be OK, I’m going to be fine. I’m just obviously really, really hurt right now.”
Speculation about their breakup had been circulating online prior to Bryan’s announcement, fueled by LaPaglia’s cryptic Instagram note on October 21, which hinted at the difficult emotions associated with moving on.
