The Boston Bruins have introduced their commemorative uniforms ahead of the highly anticipated “Centennial Game” against the Montreal Canadiens, scheduled for December 1. This matchup coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Bruins’ first game, which took place against the Montreal Maroons on the same date in 1924.

The Bruins unveiled the new uniforms on Thursday, celebrating a century of their franchise’s history in the NHL. The commemorative sweater features a color-inverted version of the Centennial patch, previously used on three other jerseys during the 2023-24 season. This new patch highlights December 1 as the date of the inaugural game and incorporates metallic gold accents around the Bruins bear logo.

Drawing inspiration from the 1980s, a significant period in the team’s history, the new uniform kit showcases dipped gold sleeves and socks with a fresh take on traditional striping, honoring past Bruins greats. The anniversary patch seen in last season’s Centennial uniforms returns, this time in an inverted color scheme with black lettering on a gold background.

Additional features of the jersey include a unique collar design and details on the bottom hemline. The collar prominently displays the score of the Bruins’ first-ever game—Boston Bruins 2, Montreal Maroons 1—while the bottom hem includes the team’s core values: tradition, grit, passion, and heart.

To commemorate the franchise’s inaugural year, 1,924 Authentic Pro Centennial Game jerseys will be available for purchase at the ProShop and TD Garden.

The game at TD Garden will start at 3 p.m. on December 1, and the Bruins have also unveiled a new logo for the event.
