Breeze Airways is set to expand its operations with the introduction of four new cities, including three brand new destinations and one returning market, as part of a broader initiative to launch 14 additional routes starting in May. The new locations are Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) in New Jersey, Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO) in Texas, and Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau, Bahamas. Additionally, Breeze will resume travel to San Antonio, Texas, marking its re-entry into a market it last served in May 2022.

The addition of service to ACY and BRO will significantly enhance the airline options available to travelers in these regions. Both airports have traditionally had limited competition, with ACY serving primarily Spirit Airlines and Allegiant Air. Breeze’s entry will bring a welcomed third airline to the market – a move that could foster better pricing and more options for flyers. Similarly, BRO has been limited to just two U.S. carriers; Breeze’s introduction will inject much-needed variety to the airport’s offerings.

Breeze’s announcement is not just beneficial for new destinations; it also reflects growth in existing markets. Both Louisville, Kentucky, and Raleigh, North Carolina, will gain an impressive three new routes, bringing the total to 38 from Raleigh and nine from Louisville. Noteworthy is Breeze’s new nearly cross-country flight from Los Angeles to Louisville, which will become the latter’s second-longest route.

In a bold move to fill eagerly anticipated gaps, Breeze will provide flights from ACY to Charleston and Raleigh, the first non-Florida flights from New Jersey’s Atlantic City. The carrier also aims to expand its international presence with Nassau becoming its fourth international destination, joining the likes of Cancun, Montego Bay, and Punta Cana.

David Neeleman, the founder of Breeze and also JetBlue, expressed excitement over the new routes, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to connect underserved destinations with direct flights. This strategy aims to cater specifically to leisure travelers, evidenced by Breeze’s provision of first-class seating and a focus on convenience.

Travelers can look forward to several enticing inaugural fares on these new routes, with options such as flights from ACY to Charleston starting at $49, or from BRO to Orlando at $79. As the airline continues to evolve and expand, the new service is poised to deliver a fresh experience for travelers seeking affordable and direct flights to previously less accessible locations.
