“Breakdown of Amazon Prime Day 2022: Record-Breaking Sales Predicted!”

Amazon’s Prime Day is poised to elevate its online sales to a new high this year.

Adobe Analytics data predicts that during the two-day event, the e-commerce leader could reach $14 billion in online sales, marking a new record for Prime Day.

The report indicates that the first day of Prime Day is set to be the biggest mobile shopping day of the year so far, with Adobe forecasting $7.1 billion in online sales for that day. The second day is expected to generate $6.9 billion in online sales.

The data from Adobe is based on online transactions from over one trillion visits to U.S. retail sites, covering 100 million stock keeping units (SKUs) and 18 product categories.

Amazon’s Prime Day has evolved into a significant industry-wide e-commerce event, prompting other major retailers like Target and Walmart to create their own discount events.

Despite this competition, Amazon is anticipated to lead in sales. Adobe attributes this year’s Prime Day success to deeper discounts, back-to-school shopping, and flexible payment methods such as buy now pay later (BNPL).

According to Adobe, electronics are expected to see the largest discounts at 22%, followed by apparel at 20%, home and furniture at 17%, toys at 15%, and televisions at 14%.
