The Atlanta Braves have made a significant announcement regarding how fans will experience their games in the 2026 season. On Tuesday, the team revealed the launch of BravesVision, a new television network that will be entirely owned and operated by the organization. This development represents a notable shift in the way the Braves produce and distribute their broadcasts, positioning them as a leader in local sports broadcasting.

The Braves decided to take this step after terminating their prior agreement with Main Street Sports Group, operators of the FanDuel Sports Network regional channels, due to the latter’s failure to meet scheduled rights payments. This left fans uncertain about where they would be able to watch Braves games. However, with the introduction of BravesVision, the team is now fully in control of its broadcasting rights.

Derek Schiller, President and CEO of the Braves, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “This endeavor will bring the most vital link to our fanbase — our television broadcast — back under the control of our organization. With BravesVision, we believe that we can present Braves baseball in new and innovative ways.”

Under the new model, BravesVision will manage the production, sales, marketing, and distribution of over 140 regular-season games, in addition to enhanced pregame and postgame coverage that will reach fans across the Braves’ six-state territory. The team is looking forward to providing an improved viewing experience for fans.

Fans will have multiple ways to watch. The Braves are set to work directly with cable, satellite, and streaming providers, with channel locations and availability to be announced as contracts are finalized. Regular-season non-national exclusive games will be streamed on the Major League Baseball platform, Braves.TV, with no blackout restrictions for subscribers. In addition, an out-of-market MLB package will also be available for purchase. For the second consecutive season, the Braves will collaborate with Gray Media to simulcast select games on local broadcast stations in Atlanta and the Southeast, ensuring viewers can catch a portion of the games for free. These games will be identified before Opening Day.

Gray Media will also broadcast 15 Spring Training games across 26 markets in the Southeast, which will be available for streaming live on Braves.TV, allowing fans to watch without any cost upon creating a free account. Nationally televised games will remain on MLB’s exclusive partners, including FOX/FS1, ESPN, TBS, NBC/Peacock, and Apple TV.

The Braves’ decision to create their own broadcasting network is viewed by industry experts as a pivotal moment in local sports broadcasting. As one of Main Street Sports Group’s most lucrative partners, the Braves’ departure aligns with a growing trend among Major League Baseball teams that are shifting towards direct-to-consumer streaming and team-owned networks.

With BravesVision, the Atlanta Braves are poised to deepen their connection with supporters by enhancing storytelling and engagement, ensuring fans enjoy a rich and comprehensive baseball experience.
