Former WWE star Braun Strowman is set to make his mark on the food scene with his new show, “Everything on the Menu,” which aims to engage viewers who may not typically tune in to culinary programming. In an interview with The New York Times ahead of the show’s premiere, Strowman expressed his enthusiasm for good food, saying, “I know I’m not this super-educated human being in the culinary arts, but I’ve always been passionate about eating. You don’t get to be 350 pounds by accident.”

The series features Strowman traveling to various cities and sampling every item on restaurant menus, much to the surprise of the staff. He humorously noted, “Less talky-talky, more eaty-eaty,” and throughout each episode, he shares anecdotes from his wrestling career and his upbringing in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina. Strowman aims to shatter stereotypes surrounding larger individuals, stating, “I’m a giant child.”

The concept for “Everything on the Menu” reflects his genuine habits; he often orders everything on offer, leaving restaurant staff astonished. Versant, a Comcast subsidiary that owns USA Network, was quick to pick up the show, impressed by Strowman’s engaging persona.

Strowman aspires to present a view of fine dining through a blue-collar lens, making it accessible to everyday viewers. He shared his perspective on existing cooking shows, saying, “I watch some of these food shows and you see these chefs who are amazing. But I get lost because I don’t have a clue what they’re talking about.”

Having faced bullying and skepticism in his journey, Strowman’s passion for food stems from a life of independence. He proudly recognizes his roots, saying, “There’s a lot of dirty rednecks out there, and we don’t get the spotlight always. So this is for you out there. All you NASCAR fans and wrestling fans and foodies around the world that have been forgotten about.”

The first season of “Everything on the Menu” will feature visits to cities like Fort Worth, Las Vegas, and Washington, D.C., with its premiere airing on Friday, right after WWE SmackDown on USA Network. Strowman’s unique approach and relatable persona promise to resonate with a diverse audience, offering a fresh take on food exploration.
