Brandy and Monica have officially announced their first co-headlining tour, titled “The Boy Is Mine,” featuring special guests Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and “American Idol” winner Jamal Roberts. The highly anticipated 24-city arena tour will commence on October 16 in Cincinnati and will include major cities like Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Brooklyn, culminating in Houston on December 7.
The tour is named after their legendary 1998 single, which made history by spending 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although Brandy and Monica have experienced tensions in the past, their relationship flourished over the years as they collaborated on multiple occasions, such as the 2012 duet “It All Belongs to Me” and last year’s Grammy-nominated remix of “The Boy Is Mine” featured on an Ariana Grande track.
Brandy expressed her excitement, stating, “This really is a full-circle moment… it’s a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.” Monica echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the significance of their journeys and the importance of the tour as a celebration of their shared history and impact.
Presale tickets for “The Boy Is Mine” tour will be available starting June 26, with general sales starting June 27.
