The Fox drama “Bones” will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a special reunion featuring stars Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz, T.J. Thyne, and Tamara Taylor, along with creator and showrunner Hart Hanson, at the inaugural Televerse event next month. This new festival, organized by the Television Academy, will take place from August 14 to August 16 at the JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles.
In addition to the “Bones” reunion, the event will host TV icon Henry Winkler, who will conduct an acting class while also being inducted into this year’s Television Academy Hall of Fame. Winkler is known for his iconic roles in shows such as “Happy Days” and “Barry.” He will be honored alongside other prominent figures, including Viola Davis, Don Mischer, Ryan Murphy, Conan O’Brien, and Mike Post.
The Televerse program will feature various panels, including a session with writer/producer Beau Willimon, who will give attendees a live demonstration of the story-breaking process. Furthermore, there will be a sneak peek screening of Peacock’s new limited drama series “Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy,” which examines the life of the infamous criminal through the lens of his victims’ stories.
Another exciting panel will involve the Los Angeles Dodgers’ broadcasting team offering an insider’s perspective on live sports television production. This session will include notable figures such as Joe Davis and Orel Hershiser, who will discuss the complexities of delivering compelling sports coverage.
The festival will conclude with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, honoring those whose contributions have significantly impacted television. With a blend of nostalgia and new insights, Televerse promises to be a celebration of television’s rich history and a platform for its future.
