Bon Jovi unveils Forever (Legendary Edition), a star-studded duet album built around last year’s Forever with a fresh lineup of guests and new material. The Legendary Edition features appearances from Bruce Springsteen, Jelly Roll, James Bay, Robbie Williams, Jason Isbell, Ryan Tedder, The War and Treaty, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott, Lainey Wilson, and Avril Lavigne. In addition, the project introduces a new opening track, Red, White & Jersey, and a revised version of Hollow Man featuring Springsteen.
Jon Bon Jovi described the project as more than a collection of collaborations. He explained that his vocal cord rehab journey, documented during the original Forever release in 2024, kept him from touring while his voice recovered. “I was singing well in the studio for recording, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still slightly out of reach for me,” he said. “Without an ability to tour at that time, I continued working in the studio and called on some friends, great singers, artists, musicians and also just great people.” He added that the result is an album with a new viewpoint and spirit—an album built on collaboration and mutual support. “There is always something bigger than ME, and that’s WE.”
Forever (Legendary Edition) is set for release on October 24. The new opening track and the Springsteen-assisted Hollow Man are expected to arrive on Friday, ahead of the full album drop.
What this means for fans: the project spans rock, country, folk, and pop influences through a roster of celebrated artists, offering both classic Bon Jovi staples and fresh reinterpretations. The collaboration-first approach highlights a resilient creative spirit, turning a personal challenge into a celebration of friendship and shared artists’ support.
Additional note: fans will want to watch for pre-order and streaming details across platforms, as well as any vinyl or special edition formats that may be announced as the October date approaches.
Summary: Forever (Legendary Edition) reframes Bon Jovi’s 2024 release as a collaborative celebration with a diverse group of guests, pairing new material with reimagined favorites to reflect resilience, gratitude, and the power of making music together.
Positive angle: the project reaffirms the idea that artistic journeys can be strengthened by collaboration and community, turning individual hurdles into a broader musical moment.
