Rock legends Bon Jovi are gearing up for a highly anticipated return to the UK and Ireland in the summer of 2026, marking their first tour in almost six years. Known for timeless hits like “Livin’ On A Prayer,” “It’s My Life,” and “You Give Love A Bad Name,” the iconic American band has scheduled performances in major cities including London, Dublin, and Edinburgh.
This comeback comes on the heels of a significant recovery period for lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, who has been recuperating after vocal cord surgery. At 63, Bon Jovi has faced challenges with vocal muscle atrophy, but he expressed his excitement about the forthcoming tour, saying, “There is a lot of joy in this announcement – joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans.”
Bon Jovi expressed sincere gratitude to the fans and his bandmates for their support during his recovery. “I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and allowed me the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring. I’m ready and excited!” he remarked.
The band created buzz prior to the announcement with a teaser photo and a caption hinting at something special, leading fans to anticipate the news eagerly.
The tour, dubbed the Forever tour, is set to launch in July 2026 with four shows at Madison Square Garden in New York before heading to venues in the UK and Ireland. Highlights include Edinburgh’s Murrayfield on August 28, Dublin’s Croke Park on August 30, and a closing night at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 4.
Coincidentally, this announcement precedes the release of their latest studio album, “Forever (Legendary Edition),” scheduled for Friday. This album reinterprets songs from their 2024 release, featuring collaborations with renowned artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Robbie Williams, and Avril Lavigne.
Reflecting on this project, Bon Jovi noted, “This album is more than just a collection of collaborations, it is an album borne out of necessity,” acknowledging the impact of his surgery on his vocal capabilities. He added, “The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit – a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends.”
Bon Jovi, who formed in 1983, includes band members keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarists John Shanks and Phil X, percussionist Everett Bradley, and bassist Hugh McDonald. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 and recently featured in a documentary titled “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,” which chronicled Bon Jovi’s surgical journey.
Tickets for the upcoming tour will go on general sale on October 31, promising fans an unforgettable experience as the legendary band hits the road once more. This exciting return not only reignites Bon Jovi’s legacy but also showcases the resilience and strength of music to inspire and unite.
