Bo Nix’s biggest supporter has been enjoying his impressive preseason performance with the Denver Broncos.
Izzy Nix, who has been married to the rookie quarterback since 2022, cheered on her husband during a recent game where he completed 8 of 9 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown, leading the Broncos to a commanding 27-2 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
In a post on her Instagram Story, Izzy was photographed at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium alongside Nicolette Dellanno, who recently got engaged to Broncos quarterback Zach Wilson.
The 12th overall pick in this year’s draft, Nix has been making a strong case for starting quarterback as the Broncos prepare for the season opener against Seattle on September 8. His first preseason performance on August 11 saw him contributing to four scoring drives out of five.
Following the game against the Packers, the 24-year-old Nix expressed his comfort with the plays being called. “It’s not for me to decide,” he said regarding his position on the depth chart. “Especially tonight, I came out here and was very comfortable with the first few plays that were called. They were kind of keeping it within my comfort level… You want to run plays that you feel comfortable with.”
In addition to Nix, the Broncos also have experienced quarterbacks Jarrett Stidham and Wilson on their roster. Stidham started the last two games last season following the team’s split with Russell Wilson, while Zach Wilson was acquired by the Broncos in April after a challenging stint with the New York Jets. In his most recent outing, the 25-year-old completed 2 of 6 passes for 29 yards and was sacked twice.
The Broncos are set to wrap up their preseason against the Cardinals on Sunday.
