The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has reported executing a series of seven coordinated attacks across multiple districts in Pakistan as part of their campaign named “Operation Herof 2.0.” This recent surge in violence involves a total of 78 operations undertaken at 58 distinct locations, according to the group’s spokesperson, Jeeyand Baloch.

One of the notable incidents occurred in the Khuzdar district, where BLA fighters seized control of the highway at Ornach Cross for over two hours on a Saturday night. During this blockade, the fighters conducted vehicle checks and targeted those involved in transporting natural resources from the region, asserting their claim of protecting Baloch national resources.

The BLA also stated that they attacked a military post in Nokabad, Panjgur, employing automatic weapons and rocket launchers. The group claimed that this attack resulted in the elimination of at least two Pakistani army personnel and left five others injured.

Furthermore, the rebel group reported capturing a Levies Force checkpost in the area, which they subsequently set ablaze. In Kalat’s Garap area, they allegedly targeted a Bomb Disposal Squad using a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED), resulting in the deaths of two personnel.

In a separate incident, the BLA claimed responsibility for neutralizing four individuals they accused of being undercover agents for Pakistani intelligence. These individuals were reportedly captured and confessed to their roles during interrogations.

In addition to larger assaults, the BLA highlighted ongoing smaller-scale attacks in towns such as Sibi and Kachi. The group reiterated its commitment to continue these operations until what they describe as “national liberation” is achieved.

The BLA has recently ramped up its activities; a previous claim on May 12 detailed their execution of 71 coordinated attacks at over 51 locations, emphasizing an increase in hostilities amid escalating military tensions.

At this time, there has been no independent verification of the BLA’s assertions, nor any official response from the Pakistani military regarding these incidents.

This situation underscores the continuing conflict in the Balochistan region and the ongoing challenges related to militancy and regional stability. While the BLA’s actions highlight their persistent campaign, the implications of such violence can lead to heightened security measures and tensions within the affected communities.
