Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are soon to mark a decade of marriage, a milestone they will celebrate later this year.
In a recent interview with People, Shelton shared his thoughts on their journey together, expressing surprise at how quickly the time has passed. “It honestly does feel like time is flying by,” he remarked, noting that memories from years past often feel fresh. “Some of the things that we talk about, we’re to the point in our relationship that it’s like, ‘Oh, remember what happened…’ and you realize, ‘Oh my God, that was 8 years ago!’” He indicated that while ten years is significant, his feelings for Stefani continue to feel fresh. “It still feels new for me,” he said.
Shelton also suggested that maintaining a sense of novelty in their marriage might be a key to their happiness. He shared his excitement about collaborating with Stefani on his upcoming album, For Recreational Use Only, admitting that recording their song “Hangin’ On” presented its own challenges. However, their close relationship makes collaboration easier, as they often practice and discuss their music at home. “By the time we get to the studio, we’re normally really prepared,” he explained.
The couple, who wed in 2021, have blended their families, with Stefani bringing three children from her previous marriage into their union.
