Blake Lively is facing criticism on TikTok after an old interview resurfaced, which many users found uncomfortable to watch. This comes shortly after she was scrutinized for a tense conversation with journalist Kjersti Flaa from 2016 that drew media attention.
In a recently viral clip from a 2017 interview with DP/30, Lively discussed her film “All I See Is You.” When asked by the journalist if she felt “free to try everything,” Lively seemed to roll her eyes and laughed, questioning the meaning of the remark. As the journalist elaborated that she apparently wasn’t going to sing, Lively interjected, insisting she did sing in the movie and proposed a pop quiz for the journalist.
TikTok user @c–tychanel accused Lively of “terrorizing” the journalist, emphasizing the exchange was rude. Many viewers concurred, criticizing celebrity behavior and suggesting that interviewers are just doing their jobs.
Others, however, dismissed the perception of rudeness, arguing that it was an exaggeration and that negativity was being unnecessarily amplified. Lively’s representative has not yet commented on the situation.
This resurfaced interview comes amidst reports of a supposed feud between Lively and her co-star Justin Baldoni during the promotion of “It Ends With Us.” It was reported that Baldoni made Lively feel “uncomfortable” regarding her postpartum body after the birth of her fourth child, and that cast members allegedly avoided interacting with him at the film’s New York premiere. While Baldoni has not directly addressed these allegations, he has engaged a crisis PR manager.
Lively has also been criticized on social media for promoting her cocktail brand and hair care line during the press tour, which some felt was inappropriate given the film’s serious themes of domestic violence. In a subtle response to the backlash, she shared resource links on her Instagram Story.
