Jenny Slate has recently come forward with serious allegations against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni, describing him as a “fraud” and voicing her discomfort with the film’s production conditions in newly unsealed court documents. These messages, sent in 2023, reveal that both Slate and her fellow actress, Blake Lively, expressed their concerns to a Sony executive about Baldoni’s alleged inappropriate behavior during filming.
In her messages, Slate described the filming experience as “disturbing,” stating, “Justin is truly a false ally,” and emphasized that she did not want to support the image Baldoni was presenting as a “male feminist.” She also labeled him as “the biggest clown and the most intense narcissist,” highlighting her strong disapproval of his conduct. Slate had previously communicated similar feelings to her agent, expressing that both Baldoni and his business partner Jamey Heath made her uncomfortable, stating, “Justin and Jamey are truly unfit.”
During a deposition in September 2025, Slate recalled an incident where Baldoni made an inappropriate comment about her appearance while his wife was present. Additionally, Lively has claimed in court documents that Baldoni’s behavior contributed to another actress, Isabela Ferrer, feeling sexualized on set. Allegations against him include encouraging Ferrer’s on-screen love interest to pursue her inappropriately and making suggestive comments after filming intimate scenes.
Lively’s lawyer has emphasized that documented concerns were raised about Baldoni’s behavior since Spring 2023, noting that they were treated as “sexual harassment” issues by Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer, which allegedly attempted to stifle the complaints rather than investigate them.
Lively, who has filed a lawsuit against Baldoni for sexual harassment, breach of contract, and other claims, has been vocal about her experiences. Baldoni has denied all allegations, with his attorney branding them as false accusations. As this legal battle continues, a key hearing set for January 22 will address Baldoni’s motion for summary judgment, which seeks to dismiss Lively’s claims before they are presented to a jury.
This ongoing saga highlights the challenges faced by individuals in the entertainment industry when confronting issues of harassment and misconduct, emphasizing the importance of supporting those who come forward with their stories.
