Former Arizona Coyotes left winger Paul Bissonnette was reportedly involved in an altercation outside a Scottsdale restaurant on Sunday night. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at Houston’s restaurant, located near McDonald Drive and Scottsdale Road.
As per the Scottsdale police, the situation began inside the restaurant with six men becoming disruptive. Bissonnette intervened in an effort to assist the restaurant management in ejecting the unruly patrons. Unfortunately, the situation escalated, leading to an assault on Bissonnette both inside and outside the venue.
Following the incident, police apprehended the six men who were involved. Bissonnette was taken to the hospital for evaluation but sustained only minor injuries. In his social media update, Bissonnette described the assailants as appearing drunk and disorderly, and he approached them out of concern for the restaurant staff who were reportedly being harassed.
Charges against the suspects range from misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct to felony aggravated assault, and the investigation is still ongoing.
