A woman has been arrested in connection with a disturbing incident involving razor blades found in loaves of bread at two Walmart stores in Biloxi, Mississippi. Camille Benson, a 33-year-old from Texas, was charged with attempted mayhem, and her bond has been set at $100,000.

The alarming situation came to light when customers at a Walmart Supercenter and a Walmart Neighborhood Market reported discovering razor blades hidden within loaves of bread. The first incident was flagged on December 5, when a customer found a blade in a loaf purchased at the Supercenter. Following this, on December 8, another customer reported a similar discovery at the Neighborhood Market.

Upon further inspection prompted by another complaint at the Supercenter, Walmart employees identified several more loaves that had been compromised. The Biloxi Police Department was notified on Monday, leading to an investigation into the matter.

Lt. Candace Young, a public information officer for the Biloxi Police Department, stated that authorities do not believe other stores have been targeted in this incident. In response, Walmart has emphasized the health and safety of its customers, instructing anyone who purchased bread from the affected stores to thoroughly inspect their loaves. The company has removed and inspected all potentially contaminated products and expressed appreciation for the cooperation with law enforcement during the investigation.

In light of these events, Walmart customers are advised to discard any tampered products and can request a full refund at their local store. The swift response by police and the retailer underscores the commitment to customer safety during this unsettling incident.
