The Buffalo Bills might regain a vital piece of their offense as they prepare to face the Carolina Panthers in Week 8. Head coach Sean McDermott addressed the media on Friday, sharing that tight end Dalton Kincaid is among several players whose statuses remain uncertain for the upcoming game.
Kincaid has been dealing with an oblique injury and missed the team’s previous game against the Atlanta Falcons. Despite his absence, he leads the Bills with 287 receiving yards and three touchdowns, making his return potentially impactful for the team’s performance.
In addition to Kincaid, linebackers Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard are also questionable for the matchup due to respective injuries. Milano has been nursing a pectoral issue, while Bernard is dealing with an ankle problem, both having participated in limited practices throughout the week.
On a positive note, receiver Curtis Samuel is set to return after clearing the injury report following a rib injury. Unfortunately, safety Taylor Rapp will be placed on injured reserve due to a knee issue, and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf) and receiver Joshua Palmer (knee/ankle) have both been ruled out for the game.
Adding to the intrigue, cornerback Maxwell Hairston, the Bills’ first-round draft pick, could make his debut this weekend after recovering from a knee injury, though McDermott confirmed that a final decision on his return has yet to be made.
As the Bills look to bounce back after their bye week, the returning players could provide a vital boost as they aim for a crucial win against the Panthers.
