Bill Clinton Hospitalized: What We Know About His Health Update

Former President Bill Clinton has been hospitalized after experiencing a fever, as reported by his spokesman. Clinton was admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC, for tests and observation on Monday evening. Angel Ureña, Clinton’s spokesman, shared that the former president is in good spirits and appreciates the excellent care he is receiving.

US media have indicated that Clinton is expected to recover, with a source close to him stating that the situation is “not urgent” and suggesting that he will be “fine.” Reports confirm that he remains awake and alert.

This marks another health scare for Clinton, who served as the 42nd president from 1993 to 2001. At 78 years old, Clinton has faced various health challenges in the past, including a six-day hospitalization in 2021 due to a blood infection and previous heart issues. In 2004, he underwent quadruple bypass surgery due to extensive heart disease and had another procedure a decade later for a clogged artery.

Following these health setbacks, Clinton adopted a vegan diet, expressing that it has had a positive impact on his health. He mentioned in a 2016 interview that “I might not be around if I hadn’t become a vegan. It’s great.”

Despite his health challenges, Clinton remained active in political circles this year, campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris in her presidential bid and releasing a new book, “Citizen: My Life After the White House,” last month.

Overall, while Clinton’s hospitalization is a reminder of his ongoing health battles, there is optimism about his recovery and continued engagement with public life, highlighting his resilience and commitment to advocacy even as he navigates personal health challenges.
