BIA Focuses on Debut Album BIANCA Amid Cardi B Drama

BIA remains unfazed by the recent tension involving fellow rapper Cardi B. Shortly after being mentioned in a diss track by Cardi B titled “Pretty & Petty,” the Massachusetts-based artist has shifted her focus to her debut studio album, “BIANCA,” which is currently available through Epic Records. In her perspective, the feud, which originated over a year ago, is not worth dwelling on.

In an interview with USA TODAY, BIA clarified her stance, stating, “I respond in my own way. But I’m very much like, that was a year ago for me. So this album had nothing really to do with it.” Cardi B’s track included remarks about BIA’s background, style, and flow, coinciding with a period of intense social media exchanges between Cardi and Nicki Minaj. Notably, Minaj collaboratively featured with BIA on the remix of her hit “Whole Lotta Money” and appears on the outro of BIA’s new album.

BIA’s “BIANCA” includes tracks that could be interpreted as responses to her critics, including “Bad Guy,” “Guava,” and “Awake.” However, she asserts that her album is not centered on negativity. “That’s not the energy I choose to put into the world,” BIA explained. Instead, she prefers to maintain a positive outlook, indicating that any response to the drama would be separate from her album content.

On social media, BIA opts for a “post and go” approach, choosing not to engage in online disputes. “I think like the more eyes, the better because that’s what I’m here for,” she remarked, emphasizing that her primary focus is on her music and artistry.

BIA’s dedication to her craft amidst controversy showcases her resilience and commitment to positivity within the industry. As she continues to promote “BIANCA,” it is clear that her passion for making music remains her top priority, regardless of outside distractions.
