Benson Boone has issued an apology to fans after canceling his concert in Birmingham, England, just an hour before he was scheduled to perform at the Utilita Arena on November 1. The singer took to Instagram to express his regret, sharing that he was unable to perform due to issues with his voice.
“I am so so sorry but I will not be able to perform tonight,” Boone wrote. He explained that despite his efforts to revive his voice, he could not deliver the performance he hoped for due to a throat condition. He assured fans he is working with his team to reschedule the concert as soon as possible.
“This is genuinely the crappiest feeling, I am so sorry,” Boone added, promising to update fans with information on rescheduling. He expressed gratitude towards his supporters, stating, “Thank you for everything you do. I love you guys, so much.”
In response to the cancellation, the Utilita Arena released a statement acknowledging the disappointment it caused and apologized for the short notice. They confirmed that they are collaborating with Boone’s team to explore options for rescheduling the performance.
The incident has left fans concerned about Boone’s upcoming shows, including three scheduled performances at London’s O2 Arena on November 3, 4, and 5. Following these dates, Boone is set to bring his American Heart World Tour to various locations across Europe, concluding in Sweden on November 18 before making a special appearance at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 4.
Benson Boone’s sophomore album, “American Heart,” was released in June, and the artist has stated how proud he is of the body of work. In previous interviews, he emphasized his desire to carve out his own identity in the music industry: “I don’t want to be the same as Harry Styles or Freddie Mercury because it’s not me. I’m Benson Boone! I’m completely different.”
Fans remain hopeful for his quick recovery and look forward to his rescheduled Birmingham show, eager to support him in his musical journey.
