Belmont Stakes Festival: What You Need to Know Before You Go!

The New York Racing Association (NYRA) has unveiled its guest policies ahead of the highly anticipated Belmont Stakes Racing Festival (BSRF), which will take place from Wednesday, June 4, to Sunday, June 8, at the Saratoga racecourse.

The festival will have varying gate opening times, with gates opening at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, while Friday will see a 10 a.m. admission start and Belmont Day (Saturday) opening at 9 a.m. The first post time for races will be at 12:40 p.m. ET on the first three days, 11:40 a.m. on Friday, and an early 10:45 a.m. on Belmont Day.

Although the main track will be off-limits to fans for morning training during BSRF, attendees can enjoy morning training sessions at the Oklahoma training track from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Access will be granted via Gate 21 on East Avenue, but please note that no vehicular traffic is allowed during this time.

As is standard during the summer meet, alcoholic beverages will not be permitted on the grounds from June 5 through June 7. Each attendee can bring one folding chair for personal use in the backyard area, but items such as pop-up tents, tables, and wagons will not be allowed. Attendees may bring small bags and purses for their personal belongings.

Additionally, it is important to note that cash will not be accepted for purchases related to food, beverages, admission fees, parking, or race programs, except at the official Saratoga merchandise store. Furthermore, professional photography and videography equipment will not be allowed during the event.

To facilitate a smooth experience for all guests, a detailed list of permitted and prohibited items has been made available, ensuring attendees are well-informed ahead of the festival.

This event marks the return of one of the summer’s most exciting racing experiences, and despite the restrictions in place, the festival promises to deliver thrilling races and engaging activities for attendees.
