A significant retail comeback is on the horizon as the iconic Bed Bath & Beyond brand prepares to make its return under a new banner. After shuttering all of its stores two years ago, the revamped Bed Bath & Beyond, now branded as Bed Bath & Beyond Home, is set to open its flagship location in Nashville on August 8, 2023.
The Brand House Collective, the current parent company of Bed Bath & Beyond, shared a glimpse of the new store on Instagram. A video featured a store employee presenting a classic blue and white coupon, reminiscent of those that loyal customers remember fondly. The store promises to cater to home décor enthusiasts with a variety of new products ranging from towels and bedding to lighting options.
Strategically located at 1624 Galleria Blvd. in Brentwood, TN, this new store takes over a former Kirkland’s location, with both brands now under the ownership of The Brand House Collective. In a nod to its past, the new store will accept legacy coupons from the original Bed Bath & Beyond, allowing customers to cash in their memorable savings while they shop.
In a move to generate excitement for the grand opening, the first 25 customers making a purchase will receive a complimentary queen-sized memory foam mattress. This promotional strategy echoes similar tactics used by the former retailer to build customer loyalty.
Looking ahead, Starr Hudgens, Chief of Staff at The Brand House Collective, indicated that this Nashville location serves as a pilot project, paving the way for future stores. Plans are in place for both new locations and conversions of existing Kirkland’s stores into Bed Bath & Beyond Home venues across the country.
Amy Sullivan, CEO of The Brand House Collective, expressed gratitude towards customers excited about the store’s revival. However, she also delivered disappointing news for those holding onto gift cards from the previous ownership, clarifying that the new entity cannot honor those cards due to ownership changes. In a small act of goodwill, Sullivan mentioned that there will be a surprise gift for those affected by the transition.
This return is a testament to the resilience of brand loyalty and the optimistic vision of The Brand House Collective as they reintroduce the beloved Bed Bath & Beyond identity to consumers. With a blend of nostalgia and new offerings, there is hope for a successful revival of this once-adored retail chain.
