Fans of South Park have an exciting opportunity to support a charitable cause while enjoying their favorite animated series. In light of the upcoming premiere of Season 27 on July 9, South Park Studios, in collaboration with Charitybuzz, is launching a unique campaign where fans can be turned into custom South Park characters and become “permanent residents” of the town in the forthcoming 2025 season.
Running from May 21 to June 27 on Prizeo, this initiative aims to benefit the SoCal Fire Fund, which provides support to individuals and families affected by the devastating wildfires that struck Los Angeles earlier this year. For fans aged 18 and older, donating to the cause offers a chance to win this special prize. A contribution of $10 secures 100 entries, while a $250 donation nets 2,500 entries, significantly amplifying the chances to win. The successful participant will be revealed around June 30 and will also receive a signed poster featuring their unique South Park character alongside beloved characters Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman.
According to a statement from the Prizeo page, many staff members at South Park Studios call Los Angeles home and some lost their properties in the fires. Hence, the team emphasizes that every donation carries significant weight in aiding recovery efforts. Additionally, fans can enter the contest without a financial contribution by filling out a free entry form on the Prizeo site.
The SoCal Fire Fund’s mission focuses on providing both immediate and long-lasting support for recovery initiatives aimed at aiding vulnerable communities affected by the fires.
As South Park prepares for its return, it has been over two years since the conclusion of Season 26. Meanwhile, Paramount+ has been streaming exclusive South Park events, continuing to engage fans even during the show’s hiatus. With the streaming rights for older seasons shifting back to Paramount+ from HBO Max on July 1, viewers can look forward to a fresh batch of episodes starting July 9.
This campaign not only offers a chance for fans to become a part of South Park history but also amplifies essential support to local communities in need. It highlights the show’s commitment to its audience and society, making it a win-win for fans and those affected by the recent tragedies.
