Previously, the Bears had shifted their plans away from a domed stadium in the area, although they kept the option on the table. Warren recently indicated that the franchise’s stadium ambitions are now centered around the Museum Campus and downtown Arlington Heights, following the acquisition of the former Arlington Park racetrack for nearly $200 million.
The Arlington Heights village board has taken significant steps forward by approving an economic impact study and hiring a consultant to assess the traffic implications of the proposed stadium and entertainment district. Mayor Tinaglia shared his commitment to collaborating with the Bears to create a project that benefits the community and enhances the surrounding area.
