The Chicago Bears are set to face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday without backup quarterback Tyson Bagent, who has been ruled out due to an illness. This absence marks a significant adjustment for the team as they prepare for a challenging matchup at Soldier Field.

In light of Bagent’s situation, veteran Case Keenum will step in as the backup quarterback for the first time this season while Caleb Williams continues to lead the team as the starter. The Bears also announced that wide receiver Rome Odunze, who had been on the injury report with a foot issue and missed the previous game against the Green Bay Packers, will be active for Sunday’s contest.

On the injury front, linebacker Ruben Hyppolite, despite being cleared to play after nursing a shoulder injury, will not be in uniform against the Browns. Running back Travis Homer is also sidelined with a knee issue. Additionally, defensive lineman Dominique Robinson and wide receiver Jahdae Walker, along with defensive lineman Jonathan Ford, round out the list of inactive players for the Bears.

The Browns will be missing several key players as well. Tackle Jack Conklin has been ruled out due to a concussion, while tight end David Njoku is sidelined with a knee injury. Guard Wyatt Teller and cornerback Denzel Ward are also inactive due to calf injuries. Running back Dylan Sampson is out with both calf and hand injuries, and defensive tackle Adin Huntington will not play because of a quad injury. Offensive guard Zak Zinter, listed as questionable with a back injury, will also be unavailable.

On a more positive note, DT Mason Graham, OG Joel Bitonio, WR Malachi Corley, and WR Cedric Tillman—previously marked as questionable—are set to play for Cleveland. As both teams contend with injuries and roster changes, the matchup promises to be an intriguing contest.

The game is scheduled to kick off at noon, with coverage available on Fox, presenting an opportunity for fans to tune in and support their teams amidst the challenges.
