Germany is set to take on France in the men’s basketball semifinals at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday. Germany secured their spot in the semifinals with a 76-63 victory over Greece. France advanced after defeating Canada 82-73.

In their recent matchup, France narrowly defeated Germany 73-69, securing a place in the gold medal game. Germany will now compete in the bronze medal game against the loser of the United States vs. Serbia match, while France will face the United States for the gold medal.

The game started with Germany leading 25-18 at the end of the first quarter, thanks in part to Schroder’s effective play. However, France fought back and equalized at halftime, highlighted by Wembanyama’s strong second quarter.
