Germany will now compete in the bronze medal game against the loser of the United States vs. Serbia match, while France will face the United States for the gold medal.
The game started with Germany leading 25-18 at the end of the first quarter, thanks in part to Schroder’s effective play. However, France fought back and equalized at halftime, highlighted by Wembanyama’s strong second quarter.
