In early 2026, Barstool Sports will expand its presence in the U.S. market as video versions of popular podcasts like Pardon My Take, Spittin Chiclets, and The Ryen Russillo Show are set to launch on Netflix. The agreement, brokered by UTA, encompasses both fresh episodes and select content from each show’s existing libraries. While the video podcasts make their debut on Netflix, audio versions will still be accessible on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other platforms.
Lauren Smith, vice president of content licensing and programming strategy at Netflix, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We’re thrilled to team up with Barstool Sports and bring their top video podcasts to Netflix. This partnership broadens how our members connect with Barstool’s leading sports voices and delivers exactly what our members crave: unfiltered commentary, sharp takes, and undeniable humor.” She emphasized that this initiative would provide fans with a fresh opportunity to engage with their favorite shows on the streaming service.
Dan “Big Cat” Katz, host of Pardon My Take, announced the deal during the latest episode, highlighting its significance for the podcast and the potential it brings for the creators to collaborate more closely behind the scenes. Co-host Eric Sollenberger echoed these sentiments, noting the positive discussions that took place among the three shows involved in the new partnership.
This announcement follows Barstool’s previous content deal with Fox, which saw the introduction of the new Wake Up Barstool morning TV show on FS1. In addition, Barstool founder Dave Portnoy contributed to a notable increase in ratings for the Big Noon Kickoff pregame show, proving the influential role the network continues to play within the sports media landscape.
With Netflix’s expansive reach of over 300 million paid members worldwide, the addition of Barstool’s video podcasts promises to be a strategic move, offering listeners a new way to consume their favorite sports commentary. As the landscape of sports media evolves, this partnership could pave the way for future innovations within the genre, enhancing fan engagement and ultimately enriching the viewing experience.
