Xavier Vilajoana, a candidate in the upcoming Barcelona presidential election, is actively exploring the potential signing of Harry Kane from Bayern Munich. In an interview with ESPN, Vilajoana emphasized the importance of acquiring a top striker and indicated that Kane could be a key target if he wins the election on March 15.
“We’re missing a striker,” Vilajoana stated, highlighting the need for a center forward who excels at linking play and finishing chances. He also mentioned the necessity of strengthening the defense with a center back who could complement the current squad’s youth and experience.
Among potential strikers, Vilajoana expressed enthusiasm for Kane, describing the England international as a perfect fit for Barcelona’s style. “He is capable of dropping back to link up with his teammates and also plays as a pure No.9,” Vilajoana noted.
