Barcelona Midfielder Pablo Torre’s Future in Doubt Amid Transfer Interest

La Liga teams are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Pablo Torre, who has struggled for playing time recently. In Barcelona’s La Liga opener against Valencia, the team was missing several key players, including Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, and Ilkay Gundogan, with Pedri only able to take a place on the bench. This situation left Torre as the only natural attacking midfielder available to coach Hansi Flick, yet he did not feature in the match.

Fermín López is set to return to training this Tuesday, but Flick chose to deploy Raphinha in a central role, flanked by Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres on the wings, indicating Torre’s diminishing role in the squad. Speculation surrounds Torre’s future as it appears increasingly likely he may leave the club in the near future.

According to reports, both La Liga and Segunda Division clubs are interested in Torre, and Barcelona may be open to facilitating a transfer before the summer window closes on June 30. Torre joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 with high expectations, but opportunities in the first team have been limited. It remains uncertain if he will leave on a permanent basis or be loaned out again for the second time in two years.
