The Hansi Flick-led team is aiming for their eighth consecutive victory in LaLiga to match Ernesto Valverde’s record at the club.

Barcelona is set to visit Osasuna on Saturday with a revamped starting lineup. Hansi Flick has opted for significant rotations, leaving out Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Casadó, Balde, and Iñigo Martínez, while including Ferran, Pau Víctor, Eric García, Gerard Martín, and Sergi Domínguez.

The team has won their last six official matches against Osasuna, remaining unbeaten against them for nine games, with their last loss in Pamplona dating back to February 2012 (3-2). Since then, they have recorded five wins and three draws against Osasuna.

This matchup has the potential to etch its name in the club’s history, as a victory would mark eight consecutive wins, equaling their best start to a season.

Hansi Flick faces a tough challenge against Vicente Moreno’s Osasuna, who has played four home matches, conceding only one draw—a surprising result against Leganés in the opening match. They are expected to be a challenging opponent, much like Getafe, who provided a narrow win for Barcelona in their recent encounter.

Given that a Madrid derby is scheduled for Sunday, which could favor Barcelona, Flick might consider making adjustments to the starting eleven, with an eye on the Champions League clash against Swiss team Young Boys on Tuesday.

This match will see Iñaki Peña starting again due to Ter Stegen’s serious injury, as the club deliberates on signing another goalkeeper. In addition to Ter Stegen, Flick will also miss Araújo, Bernal, De Jong, Dani Olmo, Gavi, Fermín, and Christensen, while Moreno will be without Jon Moncayola, who is dealing with an injury, alongside the longer-term absences of Kike Barja and Iker Muñoz.

Osasuna’s lineup will feature: Sergio Herrera, Areso, Catena, Boyomo, Bretones, Pablo Ibáñez, Torró, Rubén García, Aimar Oroz, Bryan Zaragoza, and Budimir.

Barcelona’s starting eleven includes: Iñaki Peña, Koundé, Cubarsí, Eric García, Pau Víctor, Pablo Torre, S. Domínguez, Gerard Martín, Pedri, Ferran Torres, and Lewandowski.

The match will be officiated by Cuadra Fernández.

The venue for the game is El Sadar Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for 15:00 PM ET / 12:00 AM PT / 13:00 PM MX.
