As FC Barcelona celebrates its 125th anniversary and the 30th year of its Foundation, the club is reinforcing its motto “More than a Club” through a touching charity campaign aimed at supporting children and young adults facing serious illnesses. The initiative revolves around the ‘Polseres Blaugranes’ (Blaugrana wristbands), which symbolize the commitment of the Barça community to help those in need.

This campaign features a compelling video that showcases members of the professional teams, the club’s president Joan Laporta, Dr. Marta Segú, general director of the Barça Foundation, the new mascot CAT, and renowned writer and director Albert Espinosa. Espinosa, known for his popular TV series “Polseres Vermelles,” lends further depth to the project with his personal story of overcoming a childhood illness.

Throughout the video, scenes depict a collective celebration of unity among Barça fans, emphasizing a shared goal to support vulnerable children. The blaugrana wristbands serve as more than just accessories; they symbolize the laces of athletes’ boots and reflect the club’s dedication to championing the challenges faced by young patients.

The ‘Polseres Blaugranes’ project aims to enhance the care experience for children and young adults receiving treatment in hospitals across Catalonia and beyond. It focuses on creating a supportive and comforting atmosphere during their hospital stays and assists families by suggesting innovative treatment options that complement conventional methods.

Albert Espinosa will play a key role as an ambassador for the program, utilizing his experiences to inspire and guide young patients. The wristbands will be available for purchase at a price of €9.99 starting December 20, with all proceeds directed toward the Foundation’s charitable activities.
