In 2023, Barbie made her cinematic debut, and to mark this occasion, she is celebrating with a new culinary venture involving golden fried dough.
On September 3, Krispy Kreme announced a collaboration with Barbie to commemorate the doll’s 65th anniversary by launching four exclusive doughnuts inspired by the beloved icon. Barbie, known for her vast array of careers, is now taking on the role of Doughnut Purveyor.
For a limited time at select Krispy Kreme locations, fans can indulge in the following creations from the Barbie x Krispy Kreme Collection, available in a specially designed box:
– Barbie Pink Doughnut: This original glazed doughnut features Barbie’s signature pink, decorated with pink buttercream, pink sugar, and topped with tiny Barbie sunglasses.
– Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: Inspired by the Barbie Dreamhouse, this treat consists of an unglazed shell doughnut filled with Cake Batter Kreme, coated in Malibu blue icing, and sprinkled with graham sand. It is finished with a Barbie Dreamhouse decoration and a piped white frosting cloud.
– Barbie Berries ’n Kreme Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in white icing, drizzled with purple and pink buttercream, and adorned with a Barbie heart decoration.
– Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut: This original glazed doughnut is coated in chocolate icing and topped with sprinkles celebrating “Barbie Sweet 65th” in the doll’s iconic color palette.

Meredith Norrie, VP of global licensing and consumer products at Mattel, referred to Krispy Kreme as the “ideal partner” for Barbie, noting that both brands evoke happiness and fond memories.
Additionally, Krispy Kreme will offer fresh six-packs featuring Barbie Pink, Barbie Berries ’n Kreme, and Barbie Sweet 65th doughnuts at select grocery stores for a limited time.
As part of the celebration, Krispy Kreme is also hosting a giveaway where randomly selected customers can win Barbie Fashionista dolls that come with bespoke Krispy Kreme accessories, including the iconic paper hat, a dozen box, and a doughnut. Winners will also receive a custom Barbie x Krispy Kreme adult-sized denim jacket with each doll.
