Barbara Palvin confidently showcased her impressive mirrored wings at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, despite their unexpected weight.
The 31-year-old model spoke to Us Weekly about her striking wings while preparing for the event on Tuesday, October 15. She described them as heavier this year, stating, “This year mine are heavy, which just means they’re bigger!” Palvin noted that some wings are crafted to be lighter.
She estimated that her wings, styled with large mirrors resembling feathers, weighed around 40 pounds. “They’re really well-made, so it’s not too hard [to walk in the wings] with heels on,” she shared.
The 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show marked the event’s return after a years-long hiatus, with stars like Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, and Tyra Banks gracing the runway for the first time since 2018.
Palvin revealed her preparation routine included staying hydrated and attempting to catch up on rest. “I’ve been up since 2:30 [a.m.],” she laughed, mentioning that her adrenaline kept her awake. Despite her lack of sleep, her radiant complexion suggested otherwise.
On the runway, Palvin looked stunning in a sheer dress featuring a cowl neckline, a thigh-high slit, and a delicate train. She paired it with a glittery silver crystal bra and matching string underwear.
Her look was further enhanced by butterfly heels that wrapped around her ankles and diamond earrings. After flawlessly walking the runway and smiling throughout, Palvin playfully removed her heels, holding them aloft as she returned backstage.
Her makeup featured filled-in brows, rosy cheeks, glossy lips, and shimmering eyeshadow that accentuated her blue eyes. Palvin’s hair was styled into loose curls with a middle part.
Reflecting on her long-standing relationship with Victoria’s Secret, Palvin recalled buying her first pair of Pink panties years ago, stating, “I still have it!” She humorously noted that the lingerie could now be considered vintage.
