Barbara Palvin’s Dazzling Rise: Heavy Wings & Fashion Show Comeback!

Barbara Palvin confidently showcased her stunning mirrored wings at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which turned out to be heavier than anticipated. The 31-year-old model shared her excitement with Us Weekly while preparing for the event on October 15. Palvin noted that this year her wings were particularly heavy, attributing this to their larger size, and mentioned that some wings are much lighter. She estimated her wings, designed with large mirror feathers, weighed approximately 40 pounds.

“They’re really well-made, so it’s not too hard to walk in the wings with heels on,” she explained.

The highly anticipated Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made its return after being on hiatus since 2018, featuring iconic models like Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, and Tyra Banks. The show was canceled in 2019 amid controversies surrounding the brand, but it has made a comeback this year.

Palvin revealed how she prepared for the show by focusing on hydration and attempting to get adequate rest. She started her day early at 2:30 a.m. and joked about being unable to sleep due to excitement. Despite her lack of sleep, her radiant complexion masked her fatigue.

On the runway, Palvin dazzled in a sheer dress that highlighted her figure, showcasing a cowl neckline and a thigh-high slit, complemented by a silver crystal bra and matching underwear. Her look was completed with butterfly heels that wrapped around her ankles and diamond earrings. After elegantly walking the runway, Palvin playfully took off her heels and held them up as she returned backstage.

Her makeup featured filled-in eyebrows, rosy cheeks, glossy lips, and sparkling eyeshadow, enhancing her blue eyes. Palvin’s hair was styled in loose curls, parted down the middle.

Reflecting on her long-standing relationship with Victoria’s Secret, Palvin reminisced about purchasing her first pair of Pink panties years ago, humorously noting that it could now be considered vintage.
